Can you take water bottles into Six Flags Over Texas?

No outside food, beverages or coolers are allowed to be brought into Six Flags Over Texas.

For the 2026 season, Six Flags Over Texas generally allows guests to bring in one factory-sealed plastic water bottle (up to 20 oz) per person. They also permit empty reusable water bottles (like a Yeti or HydroFlask) which can be filled at the various water fountains or "Hydration Stations" throughout the park. However, outside food and larger coolers are strictly prohibited unless for specific medical needs or infant formula. This policy is part of their 2026 safety and security guidelines to streamline the bag check process. It is a "pro-tip" to bring a collapsible water bottle to save space in your locker, as most high-thrill rides at Six Flags require you to store all loose items. If the weather is extremely hot, the park often provides free cups of ice water at any food location, helping guests stay hydrated during the intense Texas summer heat.
