Can you walk around Universal Studios Hollywood for free?

While strolling through CityWalk is free, parking at Universal is not. However, if you are visiting CityWalk to go to the movie theatre, you can get a rebate (or cash back) on your parking bringing the price down to only $5 for parking!

You cannot walk around the actual Universal Studios Hollywood theme park for free, as it requires a paid admission ticket and security screening. However, you can walk around Universal CityWalk for free. CityWalk is the sprawling entertainment, dining, and shopping district located immediately outside the park gates. It features famous spots like the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium, a massive cinema, and various flagship stores. While there is no "admission fee" to enter CityWalk, you should budget for parking fees, which typically start at $32 unless you arrive after 6:00 PM for a movie (where rebates may apply). It is a popular destination for those who want to soak up the "Universal atmosphere," see the neon lights, and enjoy a meal without paying the $100+ price for a theme park ticket.
