Before the opening of Terminal 3, the Skytrain system was upgraded from the original Adtranz C-100 system to the new Mitsubishi Crystal Mover system, which expanded the service from a simple 2-station line to a 7-station network. All Changi Airport Skytrain services are free of charge.
On Foot. To move between T1 and T3 within the transit area, use the inter-terminal travellators located throughout the Departure Transit areas. To travel between T2 and T3 in the public area, use the Mezzanine Level link bridge between the two terminals.
The Changi Airport MRT Station is located at the basement of Terminals 2 and 3. It is accessible from the Arrival and Departure Halls of these two terminals and there are escalators and lifts to connect you to the station entrance.
By Skytrain: Access Terminal 2 by free Skytrain service, which operates from 5am to 2.30am, at both the transit and public areas. By Foot: Access T2 via Changi Airport's Mezzanine Level link bridge above the MRT station. It takes approximately five minutes to walk between T2 and T3.
You'll need to clear customs and immigration. Next, you'll recheck your luggage for the domestic flight. Finally, you'll need to go through Transportation Security Administration screening. This may include a physical inspection of your luggage and personal items with a metal detector or a full-body scan.
Terminals 1, 2 and 3: You can take buses 24, 27, 34, 36, 53, 110 and 858 to all 3 Terminals. Terminal 4: Public buses 24, 34, 36 and 110 will also bring you to Terminal 4.
Can transit passengers visit Jewel? We recommend transit passengers to cater for at least 5 hours of transit time to comfortably visit and experience Jewel. All passengers are reminded to check in for their departing flights at least 2 hours before their flight departure time.
Changi International Airport (SIN) is a destination in itself. Efficient and easy to navigate, the highly praised airport is home to local and international boutiques, two hotels, a cinema, art installations, and the brand new Jewel Changi area.
Just remain in the transit area. You won't need to clear arrival immigration and check in again for your connecting flight, so you won't need a visa to enter Singapore.
Changi Airport currently has four terminals, T1, T2, T3, and T4, with a total passenger annual handling capacity of 90 million. Terminals 1, 2, and 3 are directly connected via a people mover system, with airside passengers being able to freely move between the terminals without going through immigration.
You will need to reclear TSA security once you arrive in your departure terminal. For international arriving passengers, you must claim all checked bags at Customs and recheck with your departing airline, even if the bags are checked to your final destination!
