It is roughly a 1/2 mile from the WDW Swan/Dolphin Hotels to Hollywood Studios, walking would be a little quicker than the boat, as the boat would make stops at the Yacht/Beach Club, Broadwalk and then the Swan/Dolphin. It's a pleasant walk.
Can you see fireworks from the Swan and Dolphin? Yes. The hotels are located about midway between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. All three hotels offer at least a few rooms with views of fireworks.

If you're looking for a more low key place to spend an evening, Disney's BoardWalk might just be the place to go. You don't need a park ticket or dining reservation to enjoy this charming spot. While there aren't nearly as many dining or shopping options, it's perfect for some relaxing family fun.
The Swan and Dolphin use the standard Disney bus transportation system, so you should find it to be pretty reliable. The bus ride to the Magic Kingdom should take about 20 to 25 minutes, but remember that the wait time could be up to 20 minutes as well. On the positive side, when you arrive you are a quick walk in.
We actually did this walk the other day as we are staying at the Beach Club, but from the Swan or Dolphin there is also a walking path and if you walk as slow as us it will take about 15 minutes, but if you walk at a normal pace you should easily be able to do it in 10 minutes or so.
It is possible to see fireworks from a few different places around Disney's BoardWalk Inn. One of the best viewing spots will be on the bridge closest to Epcot that connects Disney's BoardWalk to Disney's Yacht and Beach Club resorts.
To get to Disney's Boardwalk, you can arrive via a car and park in the parking lot or catch the bus from Disney Springs or one of the theme parks. Once you arrive, you will find stairs leading to the Boardwalk next to the entrance. If you have additional questions, please let us know.
