As of the 2026 Walt Disney World park rules, Annual Passholders generally do not need a theme park reservation to visit after 2:00 PM, with one significant exception. On Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom, reservations are still required for Passholders regardless of the time they plan to enter. For all other days of the week at Magic Kingdom, and for every day of the week at EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom, Passholders can simply "show up" after 2:00 PM and scan their pass for entry, provided the park has not reached "peak capacity" (which is rare in the afternoon). Furthermore, Disney has introduced "Good-to-Go Days" in 2026—select dates displayed on the Passholder calendar where reservations are not required at any time of day for any park. This "after 2 PM" rule has been a major "quality of life" improvement for local fans, allowing for spontaneous afternoon visits for dinner or a few rides. However, if you plan to visit a park before 2:00 PM, you must still secure a standard reservation unless it is a "Good-to-Go" day, so checking the My Disney Experience app before heading out remains a vital step for every 2026 Passholder.
