Do Disney rooms have microwaves?

Many Walt Disney World hotel rooms (those with kitchens and kitchenettes) come with a microwave oven already integrated into the room. If yours does not and you'd like to have one, know that Disney does have a small supply of microwaves that can be placed in any guest room.

Whether a Disney resort room has a microwave depends heavily on the room category. In Standard Rooms at Value (e.g., All-Star Resorts) and Moderate (e.g., Caribbean Beach) resorts, microwaves are not included in the room. However, you can find communal microwaves for guest use in the resort's food court. In Deluxe Villas, "Studio" rooms generally include a kitchenette with a small microwave, while 1-Bedroom, 2-Bedroom, and 3-Bedroom Grand Villas feature full kitchens with full-sized microwaves. At some specific locations like "Shades of Green" (the military resort), all suites include microwaves. If you are staying in a standard room and have a medical necessity for a microwave (such as heating specialized food or medical supplies), you can request one from Housekeeping; they are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed. For those staying in Disney's "Signature Suites" or Fort Wilderness Cabins, a microwave is a standard amenity provided to enhance the "home away from home" experience.
