Do I need a MagicBand for Disneyland?

You may be hoppy to know that using a MagicBand is completely optional. You can continue to use your phone to scan your ticket into the park and to redeem your Lightning Lanes with Genie+.

You can easily use the Disneyland App (via the MagicMobile service) on your smartphone or Apple Watch to scan your park tickets, enter Lightning Lane queues, and link PhotoPass photos. Alternatively, you can request a physical plastic card at the ticket booths if you prefer a non-digital option. Unlike Walt Disney World in Florida, which had a long history of mandatory MagicBand use for resort entry and charging, Disneyland remains more flexible.
