Do you get free housing in the Disney College Program?

Disney College Program Housing Students who become part of the program can choose to live in Disney-owned housing complexes near the resorts, with rent payments taken directly from the students' pay for working at the parks.

No, housing is not "free" for participants in the Disney College Program (DCP), but it is conveniently managed and deducted directly from your weekly paycheck. Most participants live at Flamingo Crossings Village, a modern, high-end apartment complex specifically designed for Disney programs. The cost of rent typically ranges from $190 to $250 per week per person, depending on the number of roommates and the specific apartment layout (usually 2-bedroom or 4-bedroom units). This "rent" covers not only the fully furnished living space but also all utilities (water, electricity, waste), high-speed internet, and access to resort-style amenities like multiple swimming pools, a massive fitness center, and study lounges. Additionally, Disney provides dedicated bus transportation to and from the theme parks and resorts for work shifts, which is included in the housing cost. While the deductions can take a significant chunk out of a participant's hourly earnings, the convenience of living in a safe, social, and all-inclusive environment with fellow "Cast Members" from around the world is often considered a fair trade-off for the professional and social experience the program provides.
