Disney has announced that beginning “in the next few months,” guests who buy Disney Genie+ will also get FREE digital PhotoPass downloads for attraction photos taken on the day of their purchase. Let's break this down. If you buy Genie+ you will NOT get digital downloads of all of your PhotoPass photos.

Genie Plus is definitely worth it for Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, and if you don't like early starts, you might consider it for Epcot and Animal Kingdom. If you are park hopping, Genie+ is even better value as it maximises the number of rides you have access to.

You can only buy an individual Lightning Lane for each ride once per day. So each guest gets up to two distinct individual Lightning Lanes each day. That's not per park—it's total. So if you purchase Rise of the Resistance and TRON Lightcycle / Run, you can't purchase Flight of Passage as well.

In fact, usually the most popular rides are excluded for Genie+ guests. Let me describe the difference between Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes. Disney Genie+ is a magical upgrade to your ticket that allows you to select Lightning Lane entrances at over 40 attractions throughout the theme parks. These Lightning Lane entrances allow you to skip the regular standby line.

With this change, as of June 27th, 2023, guests in Disney World will be able to buy Genie+ based on what (and how many) parks they want to visit. In other words, Genie+ pricing will actually be PARK SPECIFIC and your purchase will either be for a single park or multiple parks.
