Do you get to choose where you work in the Disney College Program?

Please keep in mind all roles and locations are chosen based on the information provided during the application process, as well as operational needs. We are unable to accept change requests regarding your role and/or location.

In the Disney College Program (DCP), you do not get to choose your specific work location or role; instead, you are assigned based on the operational needs of the Walt Disney World Resort. During the application process, you can express interest in various categories—such as Attractions, Merchandising, Custodial, or Quick Service Food & Beverage—but the final decision is made by Disney Recruiters. Once a role is assigned (e.g., "Attractions"), your specific location (e.g., "Space Mountain" in Magic Kingdom vs. "Kilimanjaro Safaris" in Animal Kingdom) is revealed shortly before your arrival. The only major exception is for Character Performers, which requires a successful specialized audition in addition to the standard application. While participants are encouraged to have an open mind, the program emphasizes that every role is vital to the guest experience, and you will be placed where your skills and the resort's current staffing requirements align best.
