Where do you stay during the Disney College Program?

One of the most unique parts of the Disney College Program experience is the opportunity to live at Flamingo Crossings Village, a newly completed community purpose-built for participants and located conveniently near our theme parks, dining and more.

Only the leader may designate housing preferences. Roommate linking is only available during the initial 72-hour DORMS registration window for your select arrival date.

Credit is earned primarily for the work experience. There are no Central Michigan University classes that you attend while participating in the Disney College Program. Each student earns credit for the entire Disney College Program experience at Disney, which include work, education, and living components.

The Disney College Program typically runs 5-7 months — but some students can extend their internship to a full 12 months! Participants can choose their arrival date based on when they submit their application.

Every Disney College Program intern must have full availability for work, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Participants can expect to work 30-50 hours a week. During peak season, Disney may expect their interns to work more than 50 hours a week.

Visitors. Visitors are welcome to visit a participant's apartment. However, non-program participants are prohibited from staying overnight. Visitor parking is limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Participants are responsible for the housing cost for their apartment each week (Sunday – Saturday) that they are on the program. Please review your signed payroll deduction request form for the weekly rate of your apartment.

Mixed-gender housing provides program participants, based on availability, the option to live and roommate link with whomever they choose, regardless of their sex or gender identity. You could be placed in a mixed-gender apartment unit and/OR a shared mixed-gender bedroom.

Complimentary Tickets If you are at Walt Disney World Resort, you will have the opportunity to earn additional complimentary One-Day Park Hopper tickets so you can enjoy the parks with your family and friends, too. After working your first 150 hours, you'll earn your first set of complimentary tickets.

Your requested departure date can be no more than three weeks prior to your original departure date. The deadline to request a school-related early release is seven weeks prior to your original departure date. Summer CE and Winter CE participants are not eligible for early departure.

International Program participants must pay the full, non-refundable program fee of $442* upon acceptance of their offer. Domestic (College, Culinary) Program participants will pay the $442 fee in two phases: Upon acceptance: $240 for program fees, activities, events and administration.

A summer-only season is periodically offered for Disney College Program Alumni (previous participants who have successfully completed a program). First-time participants are not eligible to apply for the summer-only season, due to the extremely limited number of openings and the brevity of the program.

Congratulations on successfully completing another week of your internship! You will receive your paycheck every Thursday for the hours worked the week prior. If you live in company-sponsored housing, your rent will be deducted from your paycheck (for the week prior).

After leaving the program, participants are invited to join the Alumni Association and receive special information and items. If your child has not received this invitation, they may sign up here. They are also invited to apply for Alumni-Only Disney Professional Internships and other roles within the organization.
