Do you have to validate Eurail tickets in Italy?

Ticket validation is only needed for Paper tickets and passes (in Italy). It needs a stamp from a certain machine before travelling. You don't have this problem on mobile passes, if you correctly register your journeys and have added these to a pass just before boarding the train.
