Do you need 2 days in Universal?

A very popular question we receive is, is two days enough to visit Universal Orlando? And we would say yes, as long as you only plan to visit Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. Sticking with the main focus of this guide we do find it best to spend one day at each Universal Orlando park.

Whether you need two days depends entirely on which Universal resort you are visiting and your style of travel. For Universal Studios Hollywood, one day is usually sufficient to see everything, including Super Nintendo World and the Studio Tour, provided you arrive early. However, for Universal Orlando Resort, two days is now considered the absolute minimum, and in 2026, many recommend three or four. This is because Universal Orlando now consists of three massive theme parks: Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and the brand-new Epic Universe. If you want to experience the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in its entirety—including the Hogwarts Express which requires a "Park-to-Park" ticket—you really need at least one full day for the two original parks and another full day for Epic Universe. Families who want to enjoy the Volcano Bay water park or explore the CityWalk dining district at a relaxed pace will find that a 3-day or 4-day ticket offers the best value and ensures you aren't rushing through 12-hour days of standing in lines.
