Short answer? No. You definitely don't need one. But there's a little more to it than a simple yes or no, and it helps to know what you're getting with a MagicBand and what your alternatives are before you make a decision.

Do I need a MagicBand to enter Disney Parks and Resorts? No. You do not need a MagicBand to enjoy the Disney parks. Though the technology has been available in Walt Disney World for ten years, and Disneyland adopted the system in 2022, you can still use your smartphone or ticket system to navigate the parks.

You can use your phone. Create a Magic Mobile pass within the My Disney Experience app. As long as you're using your phone to only scan in YOURSELF (meaning not you AND the other members of your party), then it should be fine. It might be slower than using a MagicBand, but it still works.
