Does Angels mum and dad live in the chateau?

Dick joked: “Angela's parents live in the coach house, so we have the best childcare in the world which is an enormous help!”

For fans of the television series Escape to the Chateau, Angel Adoree's parents, Jennifer and Stephen Newman, did not live in the main Chateau de la Motte-Husson with Angel, Dick, and the children. Instead, they moved to France to be closer to the family and lived in a separate converted outbuilding or "coach house" on the same 12-acre estate. This arrangement allowed them to be an integral part of the "Chateau life" and help with the massive renovation projects and hospitality events while still maintaining their own private living quarters. Stephen and Jennifer were frequently seen in the episodes helping with the garden, the vintage "Angel's Edit" projects, and supporting Dick and Angel during the busy wedding seasons. Their presence was a key part of the "multigenerational" charm of the show, illustrating how the family transformed the derelict French estate into a thriving home and business through collective effort and shared passion for restoration and design.
