Unlike many other resorts in the Universal Orlando portfolio, Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort does not have a traditional hot tub or whirlpool. The resort was designed with a very specific "1950s and 60s retro-classic" theme, and the developers opted for expansive, family-friendly pool areas rather than secluded spa-like features. The resort boasts two massive swimming pools: the Cabana Courtyard (which features an iconic dive tower-themed water slide) and the Lazy River Courtyard (which features a winding lazy river and a sand beach). While you won't find a bubbling hot tub to soak in, both pools are heated year-round to a comfortable temperature, and the resort offers fire pits for evening relaxation, which serves as a social alternative to the hot tub experience. If a hot tub is a "must-have" for your vacation, you might consider staying at one of the nearby "Preferred" or "Premier" hotels like Loews Sapphire Falls Resort or Hard Rock Hotel, which do offer large hot tubs as part of their more adult-oriented amenity packages.
