As of 2026, the primary screening involves walking through advanced "mass screening" sensors (like those from Evolv Technology) that can detect weapons and prohibited items inside bags without requiring guests to stop and unzip every pocket. If the system flags an item, a Security Cast Member will perform a secondary manual bag check. In addition to these checkpoints, Disney employs a large team of uniformed and plainclothes security officers, K-9 units trained in hazard detection, and extensive 24/7 camera surveillance. Prohibited items include firearms, self-defense sprays, glass containers (except for small baby food jars), and loose ice (reusable ice packs are preferred).
