While the Magic Kingdom fireworks get the big reputation, the fireworks at EPCOT do have a niche but loyal following of Disney fans. Yep, EPCOT has hosted nightly fireworks shows since the park opened in 1982 — creating four decades' worth of memories for many Disney World visitors.
The Disney After Hours at EPCOT event takes place from 10.00pm to 1.00am. You can get a head start on the fun by entering EPCOT at 7.00pm. You do not need a Disney park reservation or additional ticket to enter EPCOT after 7.00pm.
Keep in mind that the shops will all close right when Extended Evening Hours end and do not stay open that extra hour like stores do after normal park closing hours. Considering we got on all the most popular rides at EPCOT, I would say that YES Extended Evening Hours are worth it.
'Luminous: Symphony of Us' New Nighttime Spectacular to Debut at EPCOT in Late 2023. Walt Disney World has shared details about Luminous: The Symphony of Us, which is the all-new nighttime spectacular coming to EPCOT in December 2023 for the Disney100 festivities in Florida.
It's over. The end of an error. The final two “taco” barges have been removed from World Showcase Lagoon, signaling the end of Harmonious at EPCOT. Harmonious was originally designed to be a long-term replacement for Illuminations, but the unsightly hardware for the show proved to be its downfall.
they're both great, but i personally prefer the Epcot show. the MK fireworks are more traditional, and the view of the fireworks over Cindy's castle is spectacular. however, the Epcot fireworks are a little more different than what you normally see, and you are much closer to the action....
There is typically an hour between when the park closes and the event starts. Fireworks start at 9 p.m. and day guests can enter a ride up until 9 p.m., so there will still be some longer ride lines and crowds until the day guests are fully filtered out.
We enjoyed it a lot more than anticipated. It's just a fireworks show, but it's a pretty good one. There is really no need to stake out a spot as you can view it from pretty much anywhere around the lagoon. We appreciated the nods to old school Epcot in the music.
Epcot Forever is definitely less of a production than both IllumiNations and Harmonious, but as always fireworks shows at Disney tug at your heartstrings and are really a perfect ending to any park day.
EPCOT performances are held three times each night. The first showing is at 5:30 p.m., the second at 6:45 p.m. and the third at 8 p.m. All showings take place at the America Gardens Theatre. Local bands will take the stage Tuesdays through Thursdays. The concerts are included with park admission.
Due to the location of the show, EPCOT fireworks are best viewed from World Showcase. While you can see the fireworks from some spots in World Celebration, World Nature and World Discovery, the views are obscured. With major construction going on behind Spaceship Earth, this takes away the possible centered views.
The parks tend to reach their highest capacity in mid-afternoon. The crowds will start going down around dinnertime. That means the best time to get through the lines is early in the morning, so come on, get out of bed and let's have some Fun. There is a Starbuck's right across from the big fountain.
Another one of the most popular questions we receive on this topic is, what is the best day of the week to go to EPCOT? As a general rule of thumb the best day of the week to visit EPCOT typically tends to be Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
Walt Disney World Epcot – Best for Ages 8 to 14It's a great theme park for intellectually curious kids (and adults) but not the best for little kids under the age of 8. Older kids will enjoy some of the major thrill rides (like Test Track and Mission: SPACE) and may really enjoy World Showcase.
The prices for the EPCOT after-hours events range from $129 to $139, depending on the date. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can purchase tickets at a discount, with the price of $99. Most of the events take place on Thursday evenings, with one exception on a Wednesday.
I am happy to report, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is available via the stand-by line during this event. You will not need to join the virtual queue. I would anticipate wait times to be much shorter later into the evening.
