The attraction Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts at Universal Studios Florida does not go upside down. While it is a sophisticated hybrid of a roller coaster and a 3D motion-simulation ride, it does not feature any inversions (loops or corkscrews). The ride's thrills come from high-speed acceleration, 360-degree spinning, sudden stops, and dramatic tilting. One of the most intense moments is a "tilt-and-drop" sequence early in the ride where the track physically tips forward before releasing the vehicle into a 20-to-30-foot drop. Although the 4D visual effects and the motion of the car might make you feel disoriented or as if you are banked at a steep angle, you are always securely upright. This makes it a popular "bridge" ride for visitors who enjoy high-speed excitement but prefer to avoid the stomach-churning intensity of traditional looping coasters like the VelociCoaster or the Incredible Hulk Coaster.
