Does Knotts take cash?

Knott's Berry Farm is moving toward all cashless payments throughout the park. Simply swipe or tap your credit card, debit card, or smart device with Apple Pay or Google Pay where you would normally use cash. For more details, visit our Cashless page. Gift cards are available for purchase at Guest Services or online.

As of 2026, Knott's Berry Farm is a completely cashless park. This policy, which began in late 2021, applies to all locations within the park, including ticket booths, restaurants, and gift shops. The transition was made to make transactions faster, safer, and more secure for both guests and staff. If you only have cash when you arrive, the park provides multiple "Cash-to-Card" kiosks located throughout the property. These kiosks allow you to convert your physical cash into a prepaid Visa debit card with no transaction fee. You can load anywhere from $1 to $500 onto a card, and these cards can be used not only inside Knott's Berry Farm but anywhere else in the real world where Visa is accepted. It is worth noting that while there are no fees to get the card, some of these prepaid cards may have "inactivity fees" if they aren't used for a long period (usually several months), so it’s best to use the remaining balance shortly after your trip.

Beyond the festival and the 8-foot-tall boysenberry sculptures, what surprised me about Knott's was the sheer quantity of rides. Knott's is only 57 acres, compared with Disneyland's 100 acres, but there are so many more rides at the berry farm.
