Does monorail go to Wilderness Lodge?

These hotels are on the Magic Kingdom monorail loop – most of them anyway. Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Villas, and Disney's Fort Wilderness Cabins and Campsites are considered Magic Kingdom-area hotels but do not have monorail service. They do, however, have boat access to the park in addition to bus pickups.

While it seems as though you should be able to walk to the other Magic Kingdom resort hotels and perhaps even the Magic Kingdom itself, you can't. Transportation from the Wilderness Lodge is available through either the Boat Dock or the Bus Depot.

Disney says that buses run about every 20 minutes to each destination, but our experience has been that they often come at shorter intervals. One of our favorite ways to get around Disney World is by boat, and Wilderness Lodge is one of the best places to do it.

You cannot walk to anywhere or anything from Wilderness lodge. They have a boat on property that will take you directly to Magic Kingdom. You can take the monorail from there to get to TTC and then to Epcot.

There used to be a walking path that connected Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground with Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Unfortunately, that is no longer available for Guests to use. If you'd like to go back and forth between the two resorts you have a few different options.

Unfortunately, guests will not have access to the pools at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The list of activities at Fort Wilderness is pretty long, one of my Mouseketeers is obsessed with the Campfires and S'mores. Some nights there are even Movies Under the Stars.

Wilderness Lodge Transportation Boats - There is direct boat service to the Magic Kingdom. It is a delightful ride throughout the day (subject to weather), however lines can be long to ride first thing in the morning. If this is the case, you may want to consider riding the bus.

Water taxi service is available from several Walt Disney World Resort hotels, such as Disney's Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter and Riverside, as well as Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and Disney's Old Key West Resort. These water taxis are free for Guest usage to arrive and depart from Disney Springs.

Magic Kingdom Fireworks are at 9pm on most nights. If there is a special event like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party the fireworks may be earlier, or may not be scheduled for regular guests visiting that day.
