Does Seattle Monorail accept ORCA day pass?

ORCA transfers are accepted within the two-hour transfer window. Paper transfers are not accepted. Full ticket fare is required.

Seattle Center Monorail accepts ORCA card transfers from other transit systems. ORCA transfers are made electronically. If you use an ORCA card that is loaded with a bus pass or E-purse, you will get a two-hour transfer credit for the fare paid.

The entire set of the beam, the bogies, the wheels, etc. is more complex and expensive for a monorail. Monorail requires a lot of stuff around the beam, often made of expensive rare metals, with a lot more maintenance. Monorail beam itself must be built and maintained to high specifications.
