Does Tinkerbell fly when raining?

It all depends on the weather. I know if there's rain/lightning/thunderstorm then Tink does not fly down. This was the case for a couple nights during our June stay in 04.

At Disney World, Tinkerbell flies every night there are fireworks — which will hit the sky all this week at 10 p.m. Besides during the summer, “Fantasy in the Sky” is presented every night the park is open late and during holiday-season shows.

A light drizzle is best as it keeps the ground moist and therefore decreases the chance of a fire starting. Heavy rain can be very bad for a fireworks show as it could lead to the fuses of the fireworks becoming wet and consequently unable to launch.

That said, don't expect Magic Kingdom or Disney Springs to be ghost towns just because of a few rain showers. Many guests will simply take their fun inside instead by going on some dark rides, seeing a show or getting something to eat.

Instead of seeing Tinkerbell fly over the park as part of the evening fireworks, we're about to get Baymax. Wondrous Journeys is the name of the brand new nighttime spectacular that will begin at Disneyland park on January 27, 2023. Today we learned a bit more about what the show will entail.

The wet months at Walt Disney World are June, July, August, and September. During that time, you can expect that it will rain almost every day.

But, if it is just a rainy day at Disney, the parks will remain open and no rain checks or refunds will be given.
