At Disney World, Tinkerbell flies every night there are fireworks — which will hit the sky all this week at 10 p.m. Besides during the summer, “Fantasy in the Sky” is presented every night the park is open late and during holiday-season shows.

It was originally intended to be a special holiday show appearance, but after receiving such a positive response, Tink became a permanent fixture every night to signal the start of the Wishes fireworks show. But what exactly goes into this high-flying spectacle?
Instead of seeing Tinkerbell fly over the park as part of the evening fireworks, we're about to get Baymax. Wondrous Journeys is the name of the brand new nighttime spectacular that will begin at Disneyland park on January 27, 2023. Today we learned a bit more about what the show will entail.
Disney had originally intended to keep Tinker Bell's flight as a special event that would take place on certain occasions at Walt Disney World, but guests loved it so much it ended up sticking around. Since July of 1985, Tinker Bell has flown nearly every night from atop Cinderella Castle to a rooftop in Tomorrowland.
While these rules seem extreme, they're put in place for a reason: to keep things as magical as possible for guests. The pay is awesome. It's rumored that Tink gets paid around $500 per flight across the Magic Kingdom's sky, which isn't bad for 30 seconds of work, if you ask us.
Where to meet Tinker Bell: Tinker Bell Meet-and-Greet: You can meet Tinker Bell at the Town Square Theater on the Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom. This is a very cute meet-and-greet location where, after yelling Pixie Dust!, you magically shrink in size until you are the perfect size to meet Tinker Bell.
So you can see her well anywhere you can see the right-hand side of the Castle looking at it from Main Street. Tinker bell flys from top of cinderella's castle like 2/3rds the way through Happily Ever After Fireworks.
Discover an enchanted forest hideaway where you'll encounter Tinker Bell in her magical realm. You'll have to “shrink” down to the size of a pixie for this enchanting encounter. When you reach the heart of their wee world, you'll be greeted by Tinker Bell herself!
When to See the Show: You can see the show nightly in Magic Kingdom at 9PM most evenings but check the Walt Disney World calendar for the most current information. Seasonal shows and holidays may interrupt this fireworks show but most of the year this is the one offered at Walt Disney World.
If you ask kindly to be pixie dusted, a Cast Member will ask you to close your eyes and make a wish while they sprinkle some of the FINEST pixie dust in all the land on your head. Yes, you will get glitter everywhere. Yes, it will be totally worth it. And NO, it's not just for the little ones!
