Since its opening in 2021, the Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Universal Orlando has had a very strong safety record, but like all high-thrill rides, there have been a few reported medical incidents. According to the 2024–2025 Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services reports, a few guests have experienced fainting, shortness of breath, or nausea after riding, often linked to pre-existing medical conditions or "graying out" during the high-G maneuvers. There was a notable 2024 report of a guest suffering a seizure on the ride, though they were stabilized shortly after. It is important to distinguish between "ride malfunction" injuries and "physiological reaction" incidents; there have been no confirmed major injuries caused by a failure of the ride's restraints or mechanics. In 2026, Universal continues to enforce strict heart and back health warnings, and the ride features "test seats" at the entrance to ensure all guests can be safely secured by the lap-bar system before boarding.
