LONDON, Nov 4 (Reuters) - Three days of strikes by tens of thousands of British rail workers over the next week have been suspended while intensive negotiations are held in a long-running dispute over pay and working conditions, the RMT trade union said on Friday.

The union was set to stage further strikes involving Network Rail members on Monday 7 November and Wednesday 9 November. However, on Friday 4 November, the RMT announced that this series of three train strikes was being suspended, after the union secured “unconditional” talks with Network Rail.
