How aggressive is Guardians of the Galaxy ride?

This is hard to explain, but if you know, you know.) By some measures, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is on the “more intense” end of the Walt Disney World roller coaster spectrum, but it's not intense by real world roller coaster standards. Nor is it uncomfortable or unpleasant at any point.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT is a highly innovative "Omnicoaster" that is moderately aggressive but very smooth. It lacks the steep, "stomach-dropping" vertical plunges found on traditional coasters like Expedition Everest, but it compensates with high speed (reaching 60 mph) and a unique 360-degree rotating vehicle. These rotations allow the car to point you toward specific show scenes while moving along the track, which can be disorienting. The ride also features the first reverse launch in Disney history, which is thrilling but not as jarring as the launch on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. Because the ride takes place in the dark with large digital screens and constant spinning/tilting, it is notorious for causing motion sickness even in seasoned riders. It is significantly more intense than Space Mountain due to its speed and fluid motion, but its "buttery smooth" track design makes it feel more like "flying" than a rattling, high-G force experience.

People Also Ask

Will your stomach drop? Probably not. Again, there are no big drops here. You'll feel more of a sensation in your stomach in Tower of Terror, Rise of the Resistance, Slinky Dog Dash, and Space Mountain than you will on Cosmic Rewind.

Disney got this ride right. The first coaster in EPCOT is something else - a well themed coaster that has a story and music - that is very fast and has cars that spin independently towards the action - truly a must do experience. The coaster was quite fun but be warned it may be intense for younger kids.

Depends on how you characterize intensity. Everest it's more bumpy and jerky, with stronger physical forces exerted. Guardians is much smoother, but much more disorienting in the dark with the screens and spinning. Guardians is more intense BY FAR.
