How did the swimming pigs in The Bahamas get there?

Some stories suggest that they swam to The Bahamas from a nearby shipwreck. One of the most popular local legends revolves around a man named Wayde Nixon who is said to have brought the pigs to the islands along with business partner Don Rolle.
