How do friends and family railcards work?

The Family & Friends Railcard gets you 1/3 off Standard Anytime, Off-Peak and Advance adult fares, and 60% off for kids' fares too. And because there's no limit to the number of times you can use your Railcard, the potential for family adventures is huge.

While only two adults can be named as cardholders, up to four adults and four children can travel on the same card and receive the savings. You don't need to travel together and you don't need to be related. You must travel with at least one child between 5 and 15 to get the discount.
