Open your Tip Board and scroll down to the attraction you have a Lightning Lane for. Click the three dots next to the Lightning Lane details and select “Modify Plan.” This will take you to a page with the time you can modify it to.

The basic Disney Genie is free, and has two tabs available. The first is the Tip Board, where you can view attraction wait times and Lightning Lane availability.
How does the 2-hour rule work? If you select a Lightning Lane through the Disney Genie and the return time is more than 2 hours after the current time and after park open, then after 2 hours you can go in and select your next Lightning Lane even though you have not redeemed your first one.
If you happen to miss your return time window for your Lightning Lane, you will NOT be allowed to book another one for that attraction. If you're going to miss your Lightning Lane window for whatever reason, go into the app and cancel it before it expires.
For individual Lightning Lane purchases, guests of a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels* may make their first purchase starting at 7:00 am on the day of their visit. All other Guests can make their first purchase during normal park opening hours.
You may be out of luck for purchasing Individual Lightning Lanes for any attraction if you're staying offsite on high crowd days. Rise of the Resistance used to be the clear winner of the popularity contest here, and that doesn't hold true anymore either. At all crowd levels, Flight of Passage sells out first.
Let me describe the difference between Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes. Disney Genie+ is a magical upgrade to your ticket that allows you to select Lightning Lane entrances at over 40 attractions throughout the theme parks. These Lightning Lane entrances allow you to skip the regular standby line.
Missing a Lightning Lane entirely will result in you not being able to book another one for the same ride. However, once the appropriate time elapses you can book another ride. My suggestion is to be strategic with the Lightning Lane bookings and aim to keep modifying to a time you know you will make it.
A maximum of two Individual Lightning Lane purchases can be made per day, and you cannot purchase access to the same attraction twice in the same day. To purchase Individual Lightning Lane access, you do not have to also purchase Genie+.
All guests, regardless of where they stay, are limited to a maximum of two pay-per-ride attractions per day and can only book a particular ride once per day.
The 120-minute rule is determined by when you make the reservation, not the return time for the attraction. So if you both log on at 9 AM to make a reservation for different attractions, you will both have to wait 120 minutes (or after riding the attraction, whichever comes first) to make your next selections.
On average, Guests can enter 2 to 3 attractions or experiences per day using the Lightning Lane entrance if the first selection is made early in the day.
But you can make both Individual Lightning Lane reservations that you are allowed at the same time, or at least, as fast as your fingers can work the phone. That means you can make ILLs for two different rides at 7 a.m. if you are staying onsite, or at park opening if you're staying offsite.
So, there is no “usual” time when these reservation refills happen. In other words, proceed at your own risk. (As for Individual Lightning Lane Attractions, reservations are typically replenished on a more consistent basis, with the refill tending to occur at 7:17 AM.)
