How do I collect oneworld miles?

Earning and Redeeming Book a trip with any member airline and your points will start adding up. When you're ready to redeem them, treat yourself to any eligible member airline or affiliate flight. And whenever you fly on an eligible flight, you will earn points towards your tier status.

To collect oneworld miles in 2026, you do not join a central "oneworld" program; instead, you enroll in the frequent flyer program of any of the 15+ member airlines (such as American Airlines AAdvantage, British Airways Executive Club, or Qatar Airways Privilege Club). Once you have a membership number, you simply provide it whenever you book or check in for a flight operated by any oneworld partner. The miles you earn will be credited to your "home" account, and these miles count toward your elite status (Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald). This "earn and redeem" system is seamless, meaning you can earn British Airways Avios while flying on Qantas or American Airlines. To maximize your collection, look for the oneworld logo when booking and ensure your membership number is always attached to your reservation before travel.
