How to request an update. There are two ways to complete a Global Entry update. To update your passport information or address, you can complete the update online. For a passport update including a name change, you must make an in-person visit after changing your name in your online Trusted Traveler account.
The TSA officer may ask you to complete an identity verification process which includes collecting information such as your name, current address, and other personal information to confirm your identity. If your identity is confirmed, you will be allowed to enter the screening checkpoint.
Please contact the airline you are flying with if they will allow boarding with the error. If they will not, you need to schedule an appointment to have the error corrected at a regional passport agency. In case you need an appointment, the number to call is 1-877-487-2778.
Digital IdentificationDownload a TSA approved digital ID app to your mobile device. Scan in your state-issued driver's license or state ID. At select TSA PreCheck® checkpoints, scan the app issued QR code. Your photo will be taken by the TSA reader at security to proceed to screening.
When you are traveling internationally you should expect your name to be checked against databases for at risk individuals including those with outstanding warrants. Your name could be flagged before you even arrive at the airport since in many cases you need to apply for a visa to get to your destination.
If you don't have any acceptable alternate form of ID, a TSA employee will ask you to complete an identity verification process by filling out a TSA Form 415, also known as a Certification of Identity form. It asks for your full name, current address, signature and date.
TSA PreCheck® provides expedited security screening benefits for flights departing from U.S. Airports. Global Entry provides expedited U.S. customs screening for international air travelers when entering the United States. Global Entry members also receive TSA PreCheck® benefits as part of their membership.
Name change: Minor name changes and spelling errors will be corrected for free. If you notice a mistake has been made you may still amend the name on your booking and ticket to reflect the correct spelling in your passport up to 2 hours before the flight is due to depart.
