To top up your Suica card online, you’ll need to use a compatible mobile device and app, as physical Suica cards cannot be recharged via a standard website. Here are the main methods:

Primary Method: Use a Mobile Suica on Your iPhone or Apple Watch

This is the most straightforward way for most international users.

  1. Add Suica to Apple Wallet:

    • On your iPhone, open the Wallet app.
    • Tap the ”+” button and choose “Transit Card”.

  2. Top Up (Charge) the Card:

    • Once added, simply tap on the Suica card in your Wallet.
    • Tap “Add Money”.
    • Choose an amount and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.
    • Payment Method: The charge will be billed to the credit/debit card you have on file with your Apple ID. Most major international cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) work for this top-up.
