How do people get around Maui?

You can get around Maui by shuttle, tour bus, taxi or public transportation. But to really experience Maui, you should consider reserving a rental car in advance from the Kahului or Kapalua airports.

Not sure if others know this but the best thing I liked about Whalers Village was being able to catch the shuttle for $4.00 round trip to Front Street in Lahaina. The pick up is located on the street side right next to the ABC store which is tucked way back in the corner and away from the beach.
