How do you get the wagon exception at Disneyland?

The best thing to do is call Disney and ask. Exceptions can be made at the main entrance. Just explain why the wagon is necessary. Once it's approved they will tag it with a blue exception tag.

At Disneyland Resort, stroller wagons and large wagons are strictly prohibited to ensure crowd safety and walkway flow. To obtain a "wagon exception," a guest must demonstrate a medical necessity that cannot be accommodated by a traditional stroller or wheelchair. The process begins with a visit to Guest Relations or an Accessibility Services Kiosk, where you will speak with a Cast Member about your specific needs. If the guest has a disability (often developmental, like autism) that makes a wagon the only viable option for sensory or physical support, the Cast Member may grant a special "Stroller as Wheelchair" or wagon tag. In 2026, Disney encourages guests to register for the Disability Access Service (DAS) via live video chat up to 30 days before their visit to discuss such accommodations. If approved, you will receive a specific red or blue tag to attach to your wagon, signaling to security and attractions staff that the vehicle is an authorized medical device. Without this tag, security will not allow the wagon past the park entrance.
