How do you get your boarding pass if you check-in online?

If you check-in online prior to your flight, your boarding pass may be emailed to you for printing at home. You can also request a mobile boarding pass, a link for which will be emailed or texted to you.

After checking in online in 2026, you have three primary ways to secure your boarding pass. The most common is the Mobile Boarding Pass, which is sent to your airline’s app or Apple/Google Wallet immediately; this digital pass is now the standard for 2026 biometric "face-scan" boarding gates. Second, you can choose to Print at Home, where the airline emails a PDF version you can print on standard paper. Finally, if you prefer a physical card or your phone battery is low, you can use your PNR (booking code) or passport at a Self-Service Kiosk at the airport to print a hard copy for free. In 2026, many major hubs like London Heathrow or Delhi Airport have also implemented "Auto-Print" kiosks that detect your phone's NFC signal and offer to print your pass as you walk by. Regardless of the method, having the digital version as a backup is highly recommended to ensure you can pass through security and immigration checkpoints without delay.
