How do you see puffins at Cliffs of Moher?

Puffins burrow into the cliffs sides and nest in the grassy hillsides of the Cliffs. They are most visible while fishing in the water or on our Cliffs of Moher Ferry in the months of May and June.

To see puffins at the Cliffs of Moher, timing is the most critical factor. They are only present during their breeding season, which runs from late March to mid-July, with the "peak" viewing window in May and June. The puffins typically nest on Goat Island, a large sea stack located just below the main O'Brien's Tower viewing area. Because they are much smaller than gulls, you will likely need binoculars or a high-zoom camera lens to spot them burrowing into the grassy ledges of the stack. For the best views, visit in the early morning or late evening when the birds are most active, flying to and from the sea to catch sand eels. If you want a closer look, consider taking a Cliffs of Moher boat cruise from Doolin; these tours take you to the base of the stacks, providing a much closer perspective of the nesting colonies than you can get from the cliff-top trails.

Key facts about Niagara Falls highlight its status as a geological and hydroelectric powerhouse. It is approximately 12,000 years old and consists of three waterfalls: the Horseshoe Falls (Canadian), the American Falls, and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful, standing 188 feet high and carrying about 90% of the river's water. During peak tourist hours, over 6 million cubic feet (168,000 cubic meters) of water go over the crest every minute—enough to fill a million bathtubs. The river's startling green color is caused by "rock flour" (finely ground limestone) and dissolved salts. The falls are eroding backward by about one foot per year, having moved seven miles from their original location since the last ice age. Beyond the view, the falls generate massive amounts of clean energy for Ontario and New York via the Sir Adam Beck and Robert Moses power stations.

In most global distribution systems (GDS) used by airlines, a PNR (Passenger Name Record) is typically "flushed" or archived 2 to 5 days after the completion of the final flight in the itinerary. Once a PNR is flushed, it is no longer searchable via the standard "Manage Booking" tool on an airline's website. However, the data is not deleted; it is moved to a "history" or "archive" database where it can still be accessed by airline customer service agents for up to 12 months for the purpose of resolving claims, baggage issues, or mileage credit requests. For tickets that were booked but never used (and not cancelled), the PNR might remain active until the ticket's expiration date, which is usually one year from the date of issue. If you need to access your travel details for tax or reimbursement purposes after the PNR has been flushed, you should refer to your original e-ticket receipt or your monthly frequent flyer statement.
