How does magic key work?

With a Magic Key pass, you can: Make theme park reservations, subject to availability of park reservations allocated to Magic Key passes, applicable pass blockout dates, and the Magic Key Terms and Conditions. Hold more than one theme park reservation at a time for different dates**** Save up to 15% on select dining†

The Magic Key is Disneyland Resort's version of an annual pass, operating on a reservation-based system in 2026. There are four tiers—Inspire, Believe, Enchant, and Imagine—each with different price points, blockout dates, and "holding" limits for reservations. To use the pass, you must first check the "Magic Key Access Calendar" to see if your pass is valid for a specific date (i.e., not blocked out). Even if the date is open, you must make a theme park reservation in advance through the Disneyland app or website. Depending on your tier, you can hold between 2 and 6 reservations at any one time. If you wish to visit both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, you only need a reservation for your first park, and you can "hop" to the second park starting at 11:00 AM. In 2026, a strict "No-Show Policy" is enforced: if you miss three reservations in a 90-day window without canceling by 11:59 PM the night before, you will be blocked from making new reservations for 30 days. This system ensures that passholders don't "hog" capacity, keeping the parks accessible for single-day ticket buyers.
