How does TAP card transfer work?

You must first load Stored Value on your TAP card to transfer between TAP-participating agencies. Your transfer fare will be calculated automatically and will be valid for 2.5 hours from the first trip of your journey. Not all agencies that are on TAP are participating in these transfers.
