How does the water taste at Disneyland?

It is the local tap water that has been filtered and a few "generic" minerals added back to the water, to make it taste like spring water. Also, Disney does allow a person to bring a reasonable amount of water into the parks, so you can buy bottled water, or filter it yourselves before going to the parks.

In 2026, the taste of tap water at Disneyland (California) and Disney World (Florida) remains a polarizing topic for guests. In California, the water is safe but often described as having a slight "metallic" or "chlorinated" aftertaste due to local municipal treatments. In Florida, the water is notorious for a sulfuric or "rotten egg" smell and taste, which is a natural characteristic of Central Florida’s groundwater. To combat this, Disney provides high-value filtered water bottle refill stations in newer areas like Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Most guests prefer to request free cups of ice water at Quick Service locations, as this water is typically filtered through the restaurant's soda systems. If you are sensitive to mineral tastes, using a filtered water bottle (like a Brita) is a "pro-move" to ensure your hydration remains a refreshing part of your vacation rather than a sulfurous chore.
