How early can I get into Downtown Disney?

Security opens at 7 a.m. (or an hour before the earliest park opening). You'll see the hotel guests with Early Entry and people who want to rope drop speed racing through Downtown Disney to the theme parks.

When Is Early Entry? Early entry is available every day 30 minutes before posted park opening for Disneyland hotel guests. You'll be able to access the park you have a theme park reservation for that day. Hotel guests may be able to go through security at 7 a.m. in order to access the main gates of the parks.

Get There Early to Avoid the Crowds As you can imagine, that means the wait times will likely be over an hour and the park will be shoulder-to-shoulder with other visitors. For an enjoyable Disneyland vacation, get to the park as soon as it opens at 8 am to enjoy empty rides and no wait times.

When to See the Show: You can see the show nightly in Magic Kingdom at 9PM most evenings but check the Walt Disney World calendar for the most current information. Seasonal shows and holidays may interrupt this fireworks show but most of the year this is the one offered at Walt Disney World.

Our recommendation is arriving at least 30 minutes before Early Theme Park Entry starts. In other words, an hour before official park opening time. This is nothing new–we offer this same advice for normal days and will continue to advise off-site guests to get to the parks at least 30 minutes early.
