How early can you book Lightning Lane?

For individual Lightning Lane purchases, guests of a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels* may make their first purchase starting at 7:00 am on the day of their visit. All other Guests can make their first purchase during normal park opening hours.

In 2026, the booking window for Disney's "Lightning Lane" (formerly Genie+) depends on whether you are staying "on-property" at a Disney Resort hotel. For Lightning Lane Premier Pass and Multi Pass, Disney Resort guests can begin making their selections 7 days in advance of their check-in date for the entire length of their stay (up to 14 days). This provides a significant competitive advantage for securing popular rides like Slinky Dog Dash or Tiana's Bayou Adventure. For all other guests (those staying off-site), the booking window opens 3 days in advance of their park visit. All bookings begin at 7:00 AM Eastern Time. It is critical to have your tickets linked in the My Disney Experience or Disneyland app before your window opens. For "Single Pass" (Individual Lightning Lanes) for the highest-demand rides like TRON Lightcycle / Run or Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the same 7-day/3-day rules apply. This "pre-arrival" system was a major change implemented to reduce the "7:00 AM stress" that previously required guests to book on the day of their visit.
