How early can you check-in for a Royal Caribbean cruise?

You can check in via the app beginning about 45 days in advance up to the morning of your sailing. Checking in via the app allows all guests in your party to board more quickly on your sailing day.

Usually, you can expect boarding to begin an hour or two after all passengers from the previous voyage completed the disembarkation process. For the most part, all guests are off the ship by 10:00am, with the earliest check-in time beginning somewhere around 10:00am to 11:00am.

Royal Caribbean International requires guests to be checked in no later than 60 minutes prior to the scheduled sailing time*. Guests arriving late will not be permitted to sail. If you miss boarding you will not be able to get on the ship. One hour before ship departure we run the final passenger manifest which we submit to the local customs and border services authority, another copy goes to the port agent, and one copy to head office. Once this is done, no one can board the ship.
