How early to get to USS Arizona?

There are valuable tips and tricks to make sure you have a sucessful visit to Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial. It is strongly recommended that you arrive on site at least 1-hour prior to your scheduled program time. You should check in at the Pearl Harbor Theater 10-minutes before your program time.

If you'd like, you can reserve your tickets online, up to two months in advance. This will ensure you get to visit the Memorial on your trip to Hawaii. Reserve your tickets for late morning or mid-afternoon to avoid the biggest crowds. The last program begins at 3:00 pm.

Although there are 1,300 free tickets available daily, due to high demand there are often more people than free tickets and not everyone gets to visit the USS Arizona Memorial that day. Uniformed military visitors will be required to have Class “B” dress or better to board the shuttle to the USS Arizona. You are not permitted to wear battle dress uniforms on the USS Arizona. You are also free to dress as a civilian on your Pearl Harbor visit.

If you only plan to visit the USS Arizona Memorial and the free exhibits, plan on spending 2 to 3 hours here. The National Park Service recommends setting aside 7 to 8 hours, if you plan to visit all four historical sites.
