No walk can give you the bird's-eye view you will experience while traveling with the Disney Skyliner, so I am happy to share that although it is not possible to walk from Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort to Disney's Hollywood Studios, both destinations are conveniently connected by this state-of-the-art gondola system.
Walk from the Beach Club to Hollywood Studios! The best part about walking to Hollywood Studios from the Beach Club is that you don't have to WAIT for a boat or stand in line for the Skyliner. Once we start walking, our family knows that in approximately 20 minutes, we will be setting foot inside the theme park.
A full day to take in everything would be best. Make sure you get fast passes for the rides that usually have the longest wait times, like toy story ride, rockin roller coaster, and tower of terror....all great rides not to be missed. All the shows are great, so you can't go wrong with any you choose.
I think you'll be happy to know that you can still absolutely walk from Disney's Hollywood Studios over to EPCOT or vice versa if you prefer. The walk itself is about 20-25 minutes depending on your pace and can be absolutely stunning on a sunny day.
How long is the boat ride from Disney's Boardwalk Inn to Hollywood Studios? You can expect to be at Hollywood Studios about 20-25 minutes after the boat leaves the Boardwalk. Please be aware that on your way, you will make TWO more stops before eventually getting to the theme park.
EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood StudiosThese parks are accessible via the FriendShip Boat from the following locations: Disney's BoardWalk Villas. Disney's Beach Club Villas.
Disney's Beach Club is a little closer than Yacht Club and BoardWalk to the International Gateway entrance for EPCOT. While the distance may seem negligible to the naked eye, the few extra steps saved at the end of a long night in the Park really makes a difference when our dogs are barkin'!
Breaking it down even further, Sunday nights are the absolute best time to visit Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you're arriving late (after 4 pm), you can accomplish a surprising amount in that half-day at DHS.
Evening At Hollywood StudiosThe earlier showtime typically has the advantage of lower crowds, but you often won't be able to do any rides after it, effectively shortening your day. The later showtime will have higher crowds, which means you'll want to be in line at least 30 minutes early.
As for ride strategy, you need to start tackling any major rides you haven't done yet—Rise of the Resistance and Slinky Dog Dash being the priorities. All waits will drop as the evening wears on, but these will be highest and drop the least. Don't delay these hoping for “short” waits later, it might just not happen.
Hollywood Studios is not directly accessible by the Walt Disney World Monorail. Conceivably, a guest could take the Monorail from the TTC to EPCOT, walk across the park to the International Gateway, then either walk or take a Friendship Boat to the Studios, though this would take a long time.
Yes, you can ride every ride at Hollywood Studios in one day, if all goes according to plan. If you also want to meet characters, watch shows, and enjoy sit-down meals, you may have to pick and choose rides.
Plus, the Disney Skyliner provides a relaxing trip to dining locations across Disney Resort hotels—including Disney's Yacht Club Resort, Disney's Beach Club Resort and Disney's BoardWalk Inn.
