How high in the air is the Disney Skyliner?

Once on board, you get pretty high up, and being above the tree line in some cases fools your mind into thinking you're REALLY high up. It's 60 feet up in the air–or about 5 1/2 stories.

Disney Skyliner has undergone routine maintenance at the end of January for the last two years. In 2022, it was down for maintenance from January 23rd through January 28th. In 2023, it was closed from January 22nd through January 29th.

The answer is: electric motors. Due to the limited space available, the gondolas are fitted with small motors. They're used primarily to help launch the boats. Once they're moving, they are, actually, partly propelled by the gondoliers using their paddles, but they're powered mainly by the motor.

Skyliner gondolas can hold up to ten passengers without a wheelchair, ECV, or stroller on board. With one of these, capacity drops to six passengers. Strollers can remain open with a child riding in them as long as they fall within the maximum size requirements: 30? x 48?.
