How late can you enter Animal Kingdom?

While Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park is typically open from 8 a.m. to 7 or 8 p.m., the hours of specific attractions are often different.

You can typically enter Disney's Animal Kingdom up until the exact minute the park officially closes, though your experience will be limited. If the park is scheduled to close at 7:00 PM, the turnstiles will remain open until 7:00 PM. However, in 2026, many of the animal-related attractions, such as the Kilimanjaro Safaris, often close 30 to 60 minutes before the rest of the park to allow the animals to be brought in for the evening. If you enter within the last hour, you can still head to high-capacity rides like Avatar Flight of Passage or Expedition Everest; as long as you are physically in the queue before the clock strikes the closing time, you will be allowed to ride. If there is an "After Hours" event or "Extended Evening Hours" for Deluxe Resort guests, the park will technically remain open much later (often until 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM), but you would need a specific event wristband or valid resort ID to stay or enter during those extra hours. Most visitors find that entering after 4:00 PM is a "sweet spot" as crowds thin out and the temperature drops.
