How long does Disney lightsaber building take?

The experience takes about 20 minutes in total, though you'll need to be ready to check in about 15 minutes before your reservation. Cancellations for advance reservations must be made at least one day in advance. Same-day cancellations are not allowed.

The lightsaber building experience at Savi’s Workshop in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge typically takes about 20 to 30 minutes. However, this timeframe only covers the actual "show" and construction ceremony inside the workshop. Guests are required to check in at least 15 minutes prior to their reservation time to select their hilt theme (Peace and Justice, Power and Control, Elemental Nature, or Protection and Defense) and receive their "cloaking" pin. The experience itself is highly immersive, led by a "Gatherer" who guides a small group of 14 builders through the process of selecting a kyber crystal and assembling their hilt from "salvaged" parts. The finale involves a synchronized activation ceremony where the room dims and the sabers hum to life. Including check-in, the hilt selection process, and the actual build, you should budget at least 45 to 60 minutes for the total experience. Due to its popularity, advance reservations are highly recommended and can be made up to 60 days in advance via the Disney website or app.
