How long does it take to get into Disney World?

At each theme park, you can expect it to take approximately 10 minutes to park your vehicle once you pay for parking. From there, you can expect another 10-15 minutes to get from your car to the front gate via either walking or taking a tram from the parking lot.

Getting "into" Disney World in 2026 involves two stages: transit to the resort and the "Gate-to-Park" process. From Orlando International Airport (MCO), the drive typically takes 30 to 45 minutes via the SR-417 or I-4, though peak traffic can push this to an hour. Once you are on Disney property, getting into a specific park like the Magic Kingdom takes another 30 to 60 minutes. This is because you must park at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) and then take a monorail or ferry boat to the park entrance. Other parks (Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom) allow you to park much closer to the gates, but you still must navigate Security Screening and Biometric Ticket Entry, which takes about 10–20 minutes. If you are staying at a Disney Resort and using the Skyliner or Monorail, your "commute" is often much faster. On average, from the moment you leave your hotel or car until you are standing on Main Street, U.S.A., you should budget at least one full hour during the 2026 peak season.
