How long is the monorail from contemporary to Magic Kingdom?

How long does it take to get to the Magic Kingdom by monorail? Disney's Contemporary Resort - about 20 minutes. Even though Disney's Contemporary Resort is the closest hotel to Magic Kingdom, the monorail has to make a full run from this point. Consider walking to the Magic Kingdom, it takes less than 10 minutes.

Start in between Bay Lake Tower and the Contemporary Resort. Walk towards the driving entrance, you may see Space Mountain off to your right in the distance! Magic Kingdom Fireworks are at 9pm on most nights. If there is a special event like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party the fireworks may be earlier, or may not be scheduled for regular guests visiting that day.
